Can creativity be taught?

Can creativity be taught? This is one of the questions that was asked to my class yesterday. The answer to this is kind of complicated. I don't think that it can necessarily  be taught but it can be developed and molded so that a person's creativity can reach its full potential. Through practice their creativity can be developed so that the person can learn how to better express themselves in the area in which they are trying to excel.

  1. I agree with you when I see that your take on teaching creativity is complicated. I think the same because of my thoughts that creativity is ability that you are born with and you steadily develop it from birth onwards. How about you? What is your basis of this idea?

  2. I agree with what you are saying Bishop. Creativity cannot be taught, but can be expanded; however, I believe that everyone has some form of creativity inside of them. This means that creativity cannot be taught because there is not a need to teach it if everyone already has it. Though I believe creativity can be expanded, I find myself wondering by how much. Is there a point to where a person cannot become anymore creative? Or is the potential infinate?
